What is special about Moscato?
Moscato is a style of wine made from muscat grapes. It’s famous for sweet flavours of peaches and orange blossom and because it’s lower in alcohol than other sparkling wines.
Why is it called Moscato?
Grown in the hilltop town of Asti in Montferrat, Piedmont, Moscato d’Asti is made by small producers in small batches.
Is Declan wine good?
It is bold, slightly tannic, dry, and slightly acidic. It is also easy-drinking, fruity, rich in taste, and full-bodied with notes of berry and jam.
Is Moscato a wine or Champagne?
Moscato is a still wine while Moscato d’Asti is a semi-sparkling wine. However, unlike Champagne, Moscato d’Asti does not go through a second fermentation in the bottle.
Why is Moscato so cheap?
Muscat vines are relatively easy to grow in a variety of places, and can have high yields. Moscato winemaking is also a relatively affordable process.
