Mouton Cadet Reserve Medoc is Created in 1930, Mouton Cadet is the result of a history between Bordeaux wines and Baron Philippe de Rothschild. The youngest of the family and the owner of Château Mouton Rothschild, he was keen to bring the richness of the prestigious Bordeaux region to a wider audience. Cadet” refers to Philippe de Rothschild place as cadet, the youngest son of the family. Initially labeled with the appellation of Pauillac, the increasing demand caused the sourcing of grapes to expand to nearby appellations Saint-Estèphe and Haut-Médoc. The Mouton Cadet Reserve Medoc Classic range blends fruit from throughout the Bordeaux region—to create its signature fresh, fruit-forward, and easy-drinking style. Cadets typically range in age from 12 to 18 years old. These white wines are dry and medium-bodied, with primary characteristics of tropical and citrus fruits, along with background hints of herbs and florals.
