The Macallan Whisky

The Macallan was one of the first distillers in Scotland to be legally licensed. Since then we have built a reputation as one of the world’s leading single malt whiskies. The creation of The Macallan draws on the vital contributing influences of Spain, North America and Scotland – and of their respective natural raw materials, combined with traditional methods and craftsmanship. Unlike other distilleries, Macallan use sherry casks instead of American oaks to ensure a richness of flavour. Another quirk of Macallan production is their copper-pot stills. They’re notably small and so remarkable they even made it onto a Scottish. The Macallan ‘Rare Cask’ Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the pinnacle of extraordinary sought-after ultra-premium whisky. Fewer than one percent of Macallan’s casks meet the high standards needed to be labeled as Rare, making this single malt incredibly unique. In fact, some of these casks may never be used again.
