Description
Wolf Blass Sauvignon Blanc is a bright, juicy wine with flavours of passionfruit, tropical fruits and freshly cut grass, vibrant acidity and a crisp, refreshing finish. Wolfgang Blass established his winery in 1966, crafting wines which epitomised quality, character and consistency; a philosophy our winemakers’ continue today. What makes Sauvignon Blanc unique from other white wines are its other herbaceous flavors like bell pepper, jalapeño, gooseberry and grass. These flavors come from aromatic compounds called pyrazines and are the secret to Sauvignon Blanc’s taste. Wolf Blass Sauvignon Blanc has been awarded three Trophies, two Gold Medals and three Silver Medals at the 2018 Lipman Karas Great Australian Red competition, including the coveted Riedel Trophy for the Best Winery of Show. Sauvignon Blanc is usually made as a dry, still white wine. However, some producers in Marlborough, New Zealand make sparkling wine with it or leave a touch of sugar for richness.
